Hi there!

I’m Noura.

Lady standing in a park wearing a winter scarf and jacket

I’m a wife and mama to 3 little ones learning how to live healthy in a toxic world.

My husband and I live with our kids in Spain. We love the Lord Jesus and are on a journey to rediscover the world that He made and how He made us interact with it.

Our dream is to one day build a homestead where we can grow our own food.

Let me ask you something:

Have you ever wondered why when you go to a dentist with a cavity he or she will fill it, maybe mention a word or two about taking better care of your teeth but never mention why you got that cavity in the first place or even what you could do to stop it?

For me, this was the question that began my health and wellness journey.

This is what led me to pursue a career as a Holistic Health Practitioner

After years of walking my wellness journey, I realized that my passion is to help people live healthier lives and raise healthy kids.

So, I enrolled in a school to become a Certified Holistic Health Practioner.

On this blog, you’ll find helpful information based on real science that will help you find real answers on everything related to living a healthy life in a toxic world.

But to be honest, my wellness journey didn’t start with a blog or website.

For me, it began with a cold glass of raw milk…

You see, there was a time when spaghetti, pasta sauce, and sugar cravings were my normal.

Sadly, I knew nothing about real food and the power it can have on the human body and ate a diet so unhealthy I couldn’t even tell you about it!

Thankfully, those days are behind me because learning about real food has changed my life and I believe it can change yours too.

I’ll never forget the day I tried raw milk for the first time. It was a light bulb moment for me. I had discovered something so good that I grew up thinking would make me sick.

I had discovered real food.

From then on, I left behind refined white sugar and learned about natural sweeteners and properly prepared grains and legumes. I was introduced to Sourdough bread and making whey and cream cheese from clabbered milk.

With every lesson I have learned so far about real food I have come to love food more and its preparation. I’ve also learned how to make real food on a budget and when I don’t have a lot of time to cook.

Real Food is alive

Food sitting on a shelf preserved by unpronounceable ingredients and additives is not real.

Real food is nourishing and so fulfilling, like Sourdough bread and tigernut milk and coconut ghee.

It has a way of healing and regenerating the human body.

“The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.” – Thomas Edison (1908)

Real food is from the Lord.

The gift of Motherhood

Mothers have a tough job and we work really hard!

We also have great power in our position.

We are also uniquely blessed.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward.” -Psalm 127:3

We are the ones who directly influence and affect the health, choices, and future of our children and grandchildren. We have complete control of teaching them how to live healthily.

Not only that but our health determines how healthy our kids (and even our grandkids) will be.

It’s biology.

Motherhood has changed my life and for the better. It has been and continues to be a process of discovery and I’d like to share it with you.

How would you feel if someone told you that the food you eat and the way you live can change your DNA?

In science, the study of epigenetics reveals how the food you eat can impact the DNA of your children and grandchildren. Our environment and nutritional intake can impact generations, either for the good or for the bad.

This is both humbling and inspiring.

It has become my goal to feed my children real, nourishing, made-from-scratch food daily (just the way our grandparents and great-grandparents used to).

And so can you.

On this blog, you’ll find healthy family recipes based on Traditional diet principles, ways to keep a natural non-toxic home (and why you should), and all things related to raising healthy kids in a Modern World.
