Why make this?
The amazing health benefits of meat stock
After reading Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s, Gut and Psychology Syndrome I was convinced that I needed to make meat stock a priority in my weekly kitchen routine.
Meat stock is similar to bone broth but made in less time. It still contains all of the nutrition that bone broth offers but is quicker to make.
As the bones simmer and cook, the nutrients are drawn from the bones into the liquid. These nutrients are not only necessary for good health but are easy for your body to assimilate.
Meat stock is a good source of amino acids which are proteins needed for healthy cellular function and overall healthy development. It is filled with collagen, the building block of skin, bones, muscles, and tendons, and more.
Collagen helps skin feel tighter, bones grow stronger and joints stay lubricated.
As we age, the body loses collagen so taking it in becomes necessary.
Animal bones are also rich in glutamine; an anti-inflammatory amino acid. Chronic inflammation is the root of many of the Modern Day diseases we see today like Alzheimers, IBS, and arthritis. This study showed that glutamine helps to seal and heal the intestinal lining of humans and animals.
So many foods people eat today like processed foods, sugary foods, and refined carbohydrates destroy the lining of the intestines. This lets undigested food particles seep through the holes and leads to a lot of health problems.
Most people are unaware of this and continue eating these foods without realizing the significant damage that’s done.
Regularly consuming stock is a simple and easy way to make sure your gut stays healthy and strong.
