We start the night before by soaking the grains and nuts.

Why Soak Grains And Nuts?

Years ago when I started my health journey, I came across stories of people who had uncovered a new way to prepare food. In a sense, it wasn’t new at all. It was an ancient and time-proven practice that generations before us knew and understood to be the correct way to prepare food.

Grains, seeds, some nuts, and legumes can be difficult to digest because they contain phytates; a type of plant compound that when consumed can cause a deficiency in zinc, iron, calcium, and magnesium.

These are known as anti-nutrients.

Soaking reduces the levels of phytates present and helps these foods become more digestible. Many people notice less bloating and gastrointestinal discomfort when they switch to soaked grains, nuts, and legumes.

Digestion is vital to optimal health because this is where nutrients are pulled from the food and into the body.

It was our Modern World that forgot those wise traditions of the past.

Our industrialized fast-paced lifestyles have traded us nutrition for calories.

But traditional practices don’t have to take us longer in the kitchen. In fact, most of the time, they don’t.

With the right knowledge, you can make real food that nourishes and heals from the inside.

A beautiful blend of Organic Rolled Oats, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cocoa powder, and Organic Coconut Sugar makes this granola unique. I added Iranian dates for extra texture and flavour.

Every ingredient is natural and wholesome. It makes a great snack or breakfast and kids love it!

The best thing about raw soaked granola is you can throw in any type of nut/seed/dried fruit combination and still have a delicious result.

If you don’t have the exact nuts, seeds, or dried fruit on hand, feel free to substitute with whatever you have. The result will still be so good.
