Do you need a fun craft idea for your kids? Try these DIY bookmarks for kids!

If you’ve had many days indoors like my family has and need a little something to get rid of the boredom, look no futher.

I’ve created 3 DIY bookmarks for kids to make at home in 3 easy steps. By the way, this is also a really great activity to encourage more reading!

Before we get started, let’s talk about reading. Reading is one of the best ways to encourage positive growth for children. Reading improves concentration, improves language and vocabulary skills and teaches children how to interact with the world around them.

Bookmark crafts can make reading fun and enjoyable for kids who might not be so interested in reading.

How to make these DIY bookmarks for kids

Step 1

Download the file and print, preferably on cardstock . If you don’t have card on hand you can use paper.

Step 2

Get creative! have your child colour in the butteflies and leaves. I’ve included three different ‘Spring’ colours for you to use different colour schemes.

Step 3

Laminate your sheets cut out your bookmarks. Note: The lines might be a bit faint so feel free to draw around the bookmarks before you laminate them so they will be eaier to cut out.
